Virtual Wave is slated to setup six operational companies in different countries throughout Africa by the first quarter 2006. Virtual Wave Director Dave Santsoma said that with the Botswana IFSC certification they have access to an $8 billion opportunity to contribute to the Botswana economy. He disclosed that already his company has brought in foreign direct investment to the of P6 million to date. He announced that immediately after its inception, the company was certified for the Botswana IFSC to track people, equipment, or fleets of any size and dispatch safety and security to the entire African continent through GPS technology software and Professional Call Centre setup located at Commerce Park . Virtual Wave is a subsidiary of Grayling Wireless USA (a publicly traded company listed on the NASDAQ exchange). It is managed internationa1ly by Metaform Venture Corporation. "Our technology enables us to have just one Call Centre setup to provide services to the entire African region and globally. Our branch network will only be limited to installation centres within Botswana , and other countries will have subsidiary operational companies with installation centers. Currently our direct employ is at 45 employees plus, with indirectly employed sales/broker representatives exceeding 109. "With this myth of the Botswana economy going downwards, asset protection, security and safety is of paramount importance to individuals and the corporate world. Any asset whether human resource is an investment and should be preserved and insured. For instance, vehicles whether bought through the financial institutions or cash and insured or non insured with insurance companies should be protected against theft, since when stolen the individual and or corporate entity puts up excess of some percentage towards replacement of that asset by the insurer thereby losing cash savings which should have been preserved." He said personal tracking enhances personal safety and security to individuals and employees. He said Virtual Wave products and services significantly add value to Botswana 's Vision 2016 of having a safe and secure nation. "Our technology does not require us to have expensive infrastructure setup in any territory, therefore the Botswana IFSC Call Centre setup will enable asset and personal tracking and monitoring services round the clock, worldwide and at low cost in comparison to other technology providers globally." The target group of the company includes any mobile asset ranging from motor industry to people tracking.
